When will I start seeing results

When you first start out on a weight loss venture such as a workout program like p90x, insanity, other workouts or even deciding that going to the gym is something you wanted to do, one main question you always want to ask is when will i start seeing results?

Since becoming a beachbody coach I have gotten this question a lot, and of course I dont blame anyone for wanting to know the answer.When I first started p90x I was going to my coach asking him when will i start to see my abs and when will my arms get defined lol I probably asked him a thousand questions lol but I wanted to know! and to properly answer this question, it ALL depends on YOU. I will not be able to accurately answer that question because we all have different body types, we are all different in height, age, weight, and I may workout harder than you or you may have a more of a “cleaner” nutrition plan than me. Someone who weighs 300 plus will be able to drop weight faster than someone who is 180 plus simply because they have much more to lose. Some start to see results in just a few days and some start results after the first couple of weeks.

When it comes to exercising and weight loss, your going to see results faster than if you were to just rely on a diet alone. Working out will help you burn the calories you need to lose in order to see weight loss, therefore creating a deficit to your calories consumed and your calories burned. Being on a calorie deficit will help with the weight loss because in order to burn fat you will have to burn more calories than consumed. I have also tried other methods that have helped me tremendously in my weight loss journey. One method that I have used before and I still use today is called zig-zagging. Zig zagging is a method where you would fluctuate your calorie intake throughout your entire week. I would consume 1800 calories one day, then consume 2000 the next, then drop down to 1700 calories the next day. many people dont agree with this method but the method behind it works. Zig zagging keeps your body guessing which keeps your metabolism at a high rate meaning you will be burning way more calories.

I have used that method to keep me from hitting a plateau because when your on the hunt for those 6 pack abs that you have always wanted the last thing that you want happening is for your results to hit a wall. To keep this from happening I suggest you monitor what your eating as well as give every workout your best. As you get stronger and you perfect your nutrition plan, then thats when the results will start coming in fast. When tracking your results or your progress one tool that I dont use much is the scale. In the beginning your weight WILL fluctuate because of the water retention and the swelling of your muscles. The scale has steered a lot of people away from working out because you would put in all this work and not see that needle move. So my advice to you is get a set of body fat calipers they are only 15 bucks on beachbody which you can check out by going to teambeachbody.com and track your body fat atleast once a week. You can feel free to weigh yourself every 30 days if you need to.  I hope this post helps out those who are struggling in the beginning happy journey my friends BRING IT!!!
